A Friend Indeed is a newsletter that explores what it means to live well. Not just in the material sense but in other ways, too.

What’s in it?

Thoughts on all the little, beautiful things and some of the bigger, harder stuff, too—you know, the stuff we usually talk about with friends.

Most issues feature an honest essay that explores real-life experiences—moving, aging, break-ups, grief, sudden change, letting go of negative thoughts, and finding joy in small moments—plus ideas for travel, style, books, art, beauty, and food. Sometimes, there’s an interview or two.

It’s all meant to inspire connection and put you in a better mood—just like a conversation with a really great friend might do.

Who’s it for?

Curious minds who want to stay inspired. Enthusiasts who like pretty things. Thoughtful types who aren’t afraid to get deep.
In other words, you.

How often is it sent?

Mostly weekly, sometimes less. The intention is quality over quantity and only sharing what feels meaningful and worthwhile.

Who writes it?

Hi, it’s me, Christina Pérez. I’ve spent my career writing about style, travel, design, food, culture, and other lifestyle topics for publications like Vogue, Elle, Domino, Departures, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, Refinery29, Gossamer, and many more. I’ve been an editor at Vogue, Glamour, and Lucky and was more recently the editorial director at the female-founded cannabis company Miss Grass. Now I’m writing this newsletter, too.

A Friend Indeed is a reader-supported publication. A paid subscription gives you access to every past issue plus all future paywalled content. Thank you for subscribing! ✨💛✨
